I find that a very useful feature of SUSE Studio Online is Test Drive, which permits the boot-up (and operation for up to an hour) of an appliance image via the web browser on a remote virtual system hosted by SUSE Studio. Secure Shell access is also available for remoting into a running appliance image. The most useful appliance image format for use with Test Drive (for iterative customization) is USB Stick / Hard Disk Image, which permits modifications to be saved and added back to the appliance.

A list of all appliance images ever published by users of SUSE Studio Online is available in the SUSE Gallery at https://susestudio.com/browse

SUSE Studio Online enables me to iterate and perfect appliance images before actually downloading the release version of an appliance image.

Please refer to the Getting Started Guide, and also see Selecting Appliance Formats for a quick overview of all eleven appliance image formats.
