It’s not that simple. I think you are slightly confused in terms of Brane Theory. The Universe was not created by the collision between two membranes but rather it is comprised of many Branes interacting and warping Dark Energy and Electromagnetic radiation around it causing Gravitational shifts and minor time dilation. It is one of the many solution proposed for the undistributed expansion of the Universe. The mainstream belief of how a Universe is born through an exploding black hole known as a white hole or Big Bang just in another universe. It is believe certain constants in the Law’s of Physics will mutate similarly to that found in organisms (I believe in a Theorem of Evolution that is Universal) and that failed Universes, that is a universe that either expands too quickly or too slowly to form stars and planets (usually when gravity is either too weak or too strong). There is also another theory in relativity that narrate that another universe floats and will intersect with our Universe to help explain shifts in gravity although this is unlikely and may be more due to Dark Flow rather than a parallel universe for reasons explained before. Then there is imaginary time or really the entire concept of time that can exist as a Brane in itself at much higher dimensions. This higher dimension nature of Physics is what makes it difficult to visualize as we have evolved and become accustom to 3 dimensions. In Mathematics, we deal with something called a hypercube or tesseract to visualize shapes in Euclidean space although in Riemann space, we deal with Hyperspheres and topological balls.
