Hi,
The kindergarten my son attended also gave more materials and asked him to help his peers. However he does not really daydream as the school program is quite intensive and they teach general knowledge and science, his favourite subjects. Therefore primary school syllabus was too dry for him.
Initial days at primary school was a challenge for him. He nearly fell asleep during class! And he said hus daydreaming skills were improving. Faint! However he is more well adjusted. He finishes his work much faster than peers so the teachers allow him to read his own storybooks. He is happy with this arrangement. Anyway I did not tell the teachers about his assessment. We have been keeping it hush hush for the past 2 years.. 😉
