These 2 schools are pretty hard to get in… we did contemplate the idea of disclosing to the school we had in mind so that a stronger academic school is suitable for his progress. However we were aware that many local teachers are not trained to teach gifted students. Gifted students do not mean they have to be strong academically. They can commit the silliest mistakes at times and some teachers would have this general perception that they should be infallible. (I encountered some comments before). The truth is they are still kids who can make careless mistakes. Therefore we decided not to disclose and learn to work with him at home instead. These are my 2 cents worth
