wow sudden activity after one year of silence on this forum.

I was with a startup, doing the writing while the founder worked on the product. It didn’t work out, but hey I have breathing space and time to start posting again. Whew.

For Haresh’s idea for learning resources for gifted children, I do know of a startup offering customized tuition that tweaks itself based on repeated practice (and by extension, exposure to a child’s proficiencies and weaknesses). If you are interested, I could link you up. Edwardyee, feel free to tell me if you are interested in this venture too.

Not sure if you are aware of this potential hitch, but truly gifted kids tend to discover and develop their own interests on their own than base it on “school materials”. I’m sure the gifted programme graduates in Mensa can tell you that. My two cents is that parents are more likely sold on the idea of “tuition/materials to get into gifted programme” than the kids themselves (and such products do exist as of now).

For Zechariah, the first idea looks feasible, but I am uncertain about the 2nd idea. I am no fashionista, but I just go to interviews in the safe, and mostly acceptable, collared long sleeves dress shirt + black long pants. It works, and it costs me below $50. Do note that most people really would just buy the outfit out of the need to wear it when they start work.

When renting attire, you have to deal with maintenance, and if your rental is too close to the cost of purchasing said outfit, people might as well just buy (which was the case for my graduation gown, the difference was only $20 or so, and I later sold the set to a photography firm at a profit). I think you can incorporate interview and job “fashion” as part of your existing interview advisory than go the rental model.
